Gently Used Purse Collection
This summer Ziker Cleaners, as part of our community outreach, collected gently used purses and totes in all of our 8 Ziker Cleaner locations. The purses were collected and cleaned and sold to raise money for the South Bend Tribune’s Newspaper in Education program (NIE). This program provides newspapers for classroom and also sponsors a Regional Spelling Bee with the winner advancing to the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC. The cost of the trip to DC for the winner and a parent is also covered by NIE. With your generosity, over 1400 purses were collected and the sale at Bethel College on July 31st raised over $8700.00!
